African Bridal Heritage
Aso-oke, kente, beadwork, and hand-woven ceremonial cloth — authentic African bridal couture honouring the rich traditions of a continent, handcrafted for the queen in you.

Our Roots — The Heritage
Adaeze — meaning "daughter of a king" in Igbo — was founded to preserve and celebrate the extraordinary textile traditions of Africa. We work directly with master weavers in Iseyin, Bonwire, and Akwete, and with bead artisans from Benin City, to create heirloom bridal pieces rooted in ancestral pride.
From the vibrant engagement ceremony to the traditional wedding and reception, our stylists guide you through every outfit change and cultural detail — ensuring your look tells the story of your lineage while making you feel like the queen you are.

Southern African Tradition

The Craft — Artistry
Every Adaeze piece carries the hands and hearts of African master artisans. Our aso-oke is hand-woven on traditional looms in Iseyin, Nigeria — each strip taking days to complete. Our kente cloth is woven by Ashanti craftsmen in Bonwire, Ghana, using techniques passed down for over four centuries.
Coral beads are hand-cut and polished by artisans in Benin City. Zulu beadwork is hand-stitched using traditional colour symbolism — each hue carrying a message of love, fertility, or prosperity. Ethiopian tilet borders are hand-embroidered in workshops that have served royalty for generations.

Our Queens — Real Brides
Adaeze created the most stunning aso-oke ensemble for my traditional wedding. The hand-woven fabric, the gele styling, the coral beads — my entire family was in tears. It was like stepping into our ancestry.

I wore kente for my engagement and beaded Zulu attire for my wedding — both made by Adaeze. They understood both my Ghanaian and South African heritage and honoured each with breathtaking craftsmanship.

My habesha kemis was hand-embroidered with the most intricate tilet borders I've ever seen. The golden crown and the cross jewellery completed a look that connected me to my Ethiopian roots in the most beautiful way.
