Our Roots — The Heritage

A Tapestry of
Royal Traditions

Sriwan — meaning "beautiful and auspicious" — was founded to honour the extraordinary bridal traditions that span Southeast Asia. We partner directly with master gold-thread weavers in Surin, batik artisans in Solo, silk embroiderers in Huế, and terno seamstresses in Manila to create pieces of breathtaking authenticity.

From the sacred water blessing ceremony to the grand reception, our heritage consultants guide you through every ritual and outfit change — honouring your family's customs while creating a look that radiates the splendour of Southeast Asian royalty.

Craftsmanship

Songket, Silk &
Sacred Gold

Every Sriwan piece represents hundreds of hours of meticulous hand-craftsmanship. Our Thai weavers create shimmering gold-thread songket on traditional floor looms. Javanese artisans hand-draw batik motifs in hot wax before the dyeing process, a ritual repeated dozens of times to build rich, layered colours.

Vietnamese silk is hand-embroidered with phoenix and lotus motifs using centuries-old techniques from Huế's imperial workshops. Filipino terno butterfly sleeves are painstakingly structured with piña fabric — hand-woven from pineapple leaf fibres — creating translucent elegance found nowhere else on earth.

Real Brides

Their Words

"

Sriwan created the most exquisite Chut Thai ensemble for my wedding ceremony. The gold chada crown and hand-woven silk were beyond anything I imagined — my family said it was like watching a Thai princess from a painting come to life.

I wore a beaded kebaya with hand-drawn batik for my Javanese ceremony and an áo dài for the tea ceremony. Sriwan honoured both my Indonesian and Vietnamese heritage with impeccable artistry.

My Maria Clara terno with butterfly sleeves and piña fabric was a showstopper. Every guest wanted to know who made it. Sriwan understood exactly how to honour my Filipino heritage with modern elegance.
